Preserving Vehicles. Building People.

Cerbyd CIC combines transport heritage, practical engineering education and community wellbeing within a financially sustainable social enterprise. Rather than relying solely on grant funding, the organisation is designed to generate unrestricted income through memberships and workshop services while seeking strategic grants for major capital investment.

Mission

Cerbyd CIC is an asset-locked Community Interest Company based in North Wales. We exist to preserve transport heritage, revive traditional engineering and mechanical skills, and create welcoming opportunities for people of all ages to learn, volunteer and connect. Through hands-on restoration, education and community engagement, we use historic vehicles as a practical way to reduce social isolation, develop confidence and inspire future generations of engineers and craftspeople. We do not reinvent the wheel; we simply add inspiring, colourful spokes between the spindle and the rim.

Vision

Our vision is to become North Wales' leading community transport heritage and engineering centre, where historic vehicles become practical tools for education, wellbeing, skills development and community resilience. We want every visitor, volunteer and supporter to leave having learnt something new, met someone new or contributed to preserving a piece of our transport heritage.

Our Values

Learn

Learning sits at the heart of Cerbyd. From young children taking their first steps into engineering through Engineering Made Easy, to volunteers developing welding, fabrication and restoration skills, every activity is designed to pass on knowledge and build confidence.

Restore

Restoration is how we preserve history while teaching practical skills. Every project offers opportunities to learn mechanical engineering, teamwork and craftsmanship, ensuring that vehicles and traditional skills are protected for future generations.

Drive

Drive represents both the vehicles we restore and the sustainable enterprise that powers Cerbyd. Memberships, practical workshop services, community events and partnerships generate income that supports day-to-day operations and enables long-term growth.

Belong

Cerbyd is a place where people feel welcome. We believe a shared workshop can reduce loneliness, improve wellbeing and give people purpose. Building friendships is just as important as rebuilding engines.

Looking Ahead

Every workshop starts with an empty bay.

Cerbyd is still in the early stages of its journey. We're building partnerships, preparing our first restoration projects and working towards opening our workshop to the community.
